In a trove of outdated families meals, Genie Milgrom receive clues that brought the woman to Inquisition-era Spain and her family’s hidden Jewish history. Milgrom are a Cuban-American, today 65, who was elevated a devout Catholic. Several years ago, whenever the lady mommy became sick, Milgrom had her affairs and discovered an accumulation quality recipes that had been taped and passed down by years of aunts and grannies. A number of the recipes traced right back to Inquisition-era The country of spain and Portugal.
At the lady house in Miami, Milgrom brings a few of the dishes from a rack. Most are written on yellowed papers in faded ink. “you can find older handwriting and small snippets of paper,” she says. “which means this was actually only content and pages and numerous these. . (daha&helliip;)
